We all have bodies but few of us are Body Aware.  We all breath but

most don’t know how to Breath. We know our pleasure sensors

and pain, we even have moments of grace.

Walker Total Fitness uses various techniques and tools  to start

an active dialogue with your body.  Thru this Dialogue we are able to

improve neuromuscular connectivity , myofascial vascularity,

arthrokinematic movement, and improve our proprioception.

As we grow and move thru life we develop habits , some good,

some not. This is our starting point for thebody. Work, travel,

injuries, and sedentary habits are the major causes of bad physical

habits. One bad habit will also breed more bad habits

to compensate for the first. This creates muscular imbalances

which leads to arthrokinematic imbalances ( our bodies system of joints,

ligaments, tendons. working together or in this case not.)

By understanding the nature of the injury or illness we

are able improve or actions that led up to and all actions

following. Healing Stronger isn’t just about strengthening the body,

its about improving our awareness, increasing our

deliberate actions, trusting our body.

Once we are able to get ahead of the Injury Curve we must stay ahead!

Once we have an active

understanding of the basics the Sky is really the limit!!!

Nathen has been living and training in Oakland for the past 12 years.

He is a NASM-CPT, that combined with his diverse background

in martial arts , gymnastics,triathlons and challenge races,

allows for well rounded and exciting training style.  Having a long

history of dealing with repetitive work and training stress,

we can work together keep you injury free and training hard!

I starting attending classes with Nathen about 3 months ago, and it has totally changed my outlook on

health and fitness.  Nathen is fun, tough, nd knowledgable, and he pushes you to succeed with the right balance of

encouragement and regiment.  As much as he understands the body, he understands people and the personal challenges

that we all need to over come.  That makes him a great teacher.

Walker Total Fitness is a customizable experience in fitness. Whether you’re looking  to train for a marathon

or other event, simply get into or stay in shape, or you’re recovering from an injury Nathen can help.

He’s experienced with body mechanics and can find the source of that pain and make suggestions

about how to make it better, be that through work on a foam roller or strengthening

the surrounding muscles. If you show up to your training appointment and something in your body

is askew, he’ll happily rework the routine to focus on your pain reduction or specific need.

When your body says ‘all systems are a go’ he’ll run that machine through the paces and get it working efficiently.

• Primarily the use of your own weight rather than weight machines • Focus on form rather than the number of

reps – way less likely to get hurt (and better results) with Nathen watching out for your form
